Not much on this bulletin board....? Maybe people havent got the hang of it... Posting involves clicking on a very small....hard to distinguish....icon....on the borders of the main messaage box.....have you spotted this...? My eyesight isnt brilliant, so I struggled for a few minutes to work out how to post messages here.. Have a look at other bulliten boards to see whats going on.... The SCCU site is not bad....but I`ve noticed an element of `sensorship`.....at times. The Atticus web site looks worth a view to see whats happening....I guess the Liverpool Capital of Culture Year, will mean lots of chess activity this year...including the British Champs, etc. I`ll also mention the Manchester Website... www.manchesterchessfederation.co.uk/ worth a glance. Anyone any views on the recent resignations from the ECF board...what were the key reasons and issues....clearly a split in views about how things should be run...and what agenda they should be following. Anyone here got an ear close to the ECF board, who can flag up some key points... What are they now doing...which direction are they going in...does the Membership agree with whats happening... Are the recent departures good or bad for British chess...?

I think the biggest problem is that there wasnt a clear link from the main MCCU website. I've fixed that now, so we'll see if we get any more visits!

Hi Sean, Still fairly quiet....... Maybe it might be worth a note in the next Newsletter... or perhaps send an email to all county captains, league secretaries, and other officials, just to ask them if they visit this site...and have they any news, information, questions/comments for the Forum...... One question I have is what will happen next year when the new revised grades kick in........I guess a number of county players could end up moving up a notch...from say U125 to U150...and so could a number of captains.....this might cause some disruption, so maybe counties need to flag up for consideration....
